Turkmenistan welcomes participants of the International Conference on the Role of Women in Modern Society

Turkmenbashi International Airport welcomed guests arriving to participate in the international conference “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals”, which is being held in the national tourist zone of Avaza.

The first guests of the forum were greeted on the Turkmen coast of Avaza in accordance with the traditions of Turkmen hospitality. Among the forum participants were:

Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Maryam bin Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar;

Tatyana Valova, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva;

Zhanna Chefranova, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Social Policy of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation;

Aktota Raimkulova, President of TURKSOY;

Hervé Dias, President of Emlyon Business School (Lyon Business School);

Lyudmila Kondrashova, Director of the Republican Center for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Children and Chairperson of the Children’s Fund of Belarus;

This international conference will bring together experts and representatives of public organizations from different countries around the world. The forum will not only focus on the exchange of opinions but will also create opportunities for the practical implementation of new initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of women in society.

Presentations, experience-sharing, and collaborative opportunities within the forum will open new horizons for expanding women’s participation in public life. This, in turn, will further emphasize the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable development goals.
