2025-08-02

On the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, guests and participants of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) are being welcomed.
In the air harbor of the seaside city of Turkmenbashi, they are greeted in accordance with the national traditions of hospitality for which the Turkmen people are famous. A special celebratory and festive atmosphere reigns at the Turkmenbashi International Airport, in the seaside city itself, and in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone. This is felt in the warm reception on Turkmen soil, in the joyful smiles, and in the banners, signs, and greetings on the streets and squares. Even the special decoration of passenger buses for this significant event corresponds to the spirit of the Forum and reflects the historical significance of these glorious events.

Within the framework of the Conference, a rich program awaits guests and participants, covering political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian aspects. Business and cultural meetings, thematic exhibitions, and national days of the Central Asian states will take place.
Of particular importance is the fact that the Conference coincides with the declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust," the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, and the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. This gives the Forum additional symbolism and emphasizes our country's commitment to the principles of peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
The meeting in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone is intended to become a platform for finding effective solutions and establishing partnerships. Its goal is to help landlocked developing countries overcome existing difficulties and fully realize their potential, ensuring them a more just and prosperous future.

Undoubtedly, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be one of the main events of the International Year of Peace and Trust. Numerous events organized by the participating countries, international organizations, and the Turkmen side await the Forum participants, including discussions on land transport and communications, the International Year of Peace and Trust, youth policy, sustainable energy, the circular economy, and other important aspects.
A special place will be given to cultural and humanitarian events, including a concert of friendship and the national days of the Central Asian countries.
And for now – the first meetings on Turkmen soil, the bright sun and the warmth of hearts, acquaintance with the gentle coast of the Caspian Sea and its natural pearl, the "Avaza" NTZ.
