THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN ORDERED TO CONTINUE WORK ON OPENING NEW INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

On February 9, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a government meeting, ordered the continuation of work on the opening of international flights to new destinations that would be beneficial for the country, as well as the expansion of cargo transportation routes. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In addition, the President of Turkmenistan advocated the implementation of effective measures for the reconstruction of existing and construction of new air harbors of the republic.

At the meeting, they also discussed the prospects for expanding transit corridor routes, increasing the volume and quality of passenger and cargo transportation, and increasing all types of services in the field of transport and communications.

The head of state, having heard the report of the General Director of the Agency of Transport and Communications Mammetkhan Chakyev, instructed him to continue work on further modernization of the railway system of Turkmenistan.

The Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications, Mammetkhan Chakyev, also presented a report on past meetings with representatives of foreign countries, during which the development of transport and logistics cooperation was discussed.
