The first flight of the Turkmenistan Airlines aircraft on the route Ashgabat - Milan was solemnly welcomed at Malpensa airport.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toily Komekov, employees of Turkmenistan Airlines, representatives of the authorities of Milan and Malpensa Airport, as well as employees of Italian companies. The speakers noted the importance of the launch of direct passenger transportation between Turkmenistan and Italy in the development of all areas of cooperation.

The first passengers were greeted at the ramp by children and girls in national Turkmen costumes with the traditional treat “pishme”.

Turkmenistan Airlines, together with Malpensa Airport, organized a sweet table and lunch for the first passengers.

The main decoration of the table was a cake depicting the first Ashgabat-Milan flight.
